Collected at several sites in the lower and middle Kikori drainage system, ranging a distance of about 125 km, between elevations of about 20 and 400 m above mean sea level. The species was not collected in the mainstream, but rather in small tributary creeks, flowing through the rainforest, except one which was taken from a small tidal creek-fed pond in open sunlight. Museum: tributary of Mubi River near Wasi Falls Lodge, Stn. 7, WAM P.30986-001 (holotype, 6.15 cm SL) (Ref. 26387).
